Tucked away from the hustle and bustle and bright city lights, in picturesque country landscapes, are big and little villages filled with talented artists, innovative designers, the incredibly charitable, and game-changing entrepreneurs.
In this rural and lifestyle collection of stories and snippets launching in early September, we’ll be showing our website visitors and social media followers how our regions – in and surrounding townships such as – Albury, Wagga, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth, Rutherglen, Milawa, Griffith, Narrandera, Leeton, Deniliquin, Cootamundra, Junee, Temora, Tumut, Gundagai and Young – and others around and in between – are literally doing it in style.
From the must-see travel destinations, to the must-attend events, we’ll share stories and tips on local fashion, food and wine, home and garden, health and beauty, and you’ll be sure to share the joy and journey of our loved-up recently married couples in our special wedding features.
We’ll not only be sharing the stories of our local style makers, designers, innovators and creators, they’ll be sharing various on-trend tips along the way.
Also featured in this bimonthly collection of features and articles, will be interesting reads and anecdotes, recognising and embracing the importance and dedication of inspiring people who belong to our rural and regional communities in southern NSW and northern Victoria.
After all, Belles and Whispers is all about showcasing your country region in style.
Whilst the Belles and Whispers web content will be updated on a bimonthly basis, don’t forget to follow our Facebook and Instagram feeds in which we’ll be regularly updating you on the latest local products we’re “crushing on”, we’ll feature our “wedding of the week” and share sneak peeks of what’s happening in preparation of the launch of the new feature stories.
Rosie O’Keeffe, managing editor, farmer’s wife and mum-of-three, has more than 12 years’ experience in the media industry in the Riverina region with local daily newspapers and lifestyle magazines, and has been passionate about calling country NSW her home both through her strong ancestral roots here, and in relishing her current rural lifestyle.
Both a writer and photographer, Rosie is inspired by the commitment to style and innovation her region has, and through creating Belles and Whispers, hopes others will also be inspired by the best our regional communities have to offer.
And, if you’ve got a story to share, we’d certainly love to whisper it…
